Migration to Base
In July 2024, we migrated our entire web3 backend from Ethereum to Base, a secure, low-cost Ethereum layer-2 solution developed by Coinbase. Base leverages Ethereum's security while providing faster and cheaper transactions for DeFi, gaming, and NFTs. Base is now the primary network for $DUBBZ, but we retain the option to go multichain in the future.
Airdrops and Rewards
All $DUBBZ holders on Ethereum received a 1:1 airdrop of their tokens on Base. This means that if you currently hold $DUBBZ on Ethereum, you received an equivalent amount of $DUBBZ on Base at no additional cost.
To thank our early holders, we added 10% to the revenue share funds to be distributed. These holder rewards are claimable in USDC on Ethereum from holders' account pages, ensuring that all previous commitments are honored during the transition to Base.
We will also conduct raffle airdrops, leaderboard gamification, and giveaways on Discord, Telegram, and Twitter to promote engagement and token adoption.
Fees, Buybacks, and Burns
To help stabilize and increase the value of $DUBBZ, there will be a token buyback and burn mechanism funded by up to 20% of our revenue (i.e., from wager fees, Dubbz Hub trading fees, and all future platform revenue). This strategy is part of our broader approach to generate consistent revenue streams while ensuring the sustainability of the Dubbz ecosystem.
Token Utility Roadmap
Users can initially wager in crypto using USDC on Base. Soon, $DUBBZ will also be an option for wagering with no fees. This change aims to enhance the user experience and expand the utility of the $DUBBZ token.
Holding $DUBBZ also provides platform users with some amazing benefits. Holders will receive a up to 2% cashback on wagers and up to 30% multiplier on a new quest and points reward system.
